Firehouse Park Entrance Work - September 5 - 8
Our Public Works Department will be replacing the asphalt at the entrance to Firehouse Park, located on Bustard Road across from the main fire station (1590 Bustard Road). This work will be done between 7 am - 3:30 pm, from Tuesday to Friday, September 5th – 8th. During those hours, there will be NO ACCESS to the parking lot. If access to the park is needed, you may park at the fire station parking lot, crossing the road at the traffic signal.
Rittenhouse Road Closure - between Clemens and Old Forty Foot Roads - September 5 - 6
North Penn Water Authority has notified the Township of their scheduled work, to service Mainland Golf Course, which will require closing Rittenhouse Road, between Clemens and Old Forty Foot Roads, on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 5-6, between 9 am – 3 pm. Please keep this in mind if you travel in this area, during the noted time frame.
UPDATE: We received notice this work was completed on August 31 after publishing. PLEASE DISREGARD.
Old Forty Foot Road Closure & Detour (September 5-8)
Per PennDOT: Old Forty Foot Road will be closed, between Rittenhouse Road and Sumneytown Pike, from Tuesday through Friday, September 5 - 8, between 9 am – 3 pm for stormwater pipe replacement along Old Forty Foot Road, weather permitting. A detour will be in place using Rittenhouse Road and Bustard Road. See map depicting the route. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.
Annual Road Paving Project – September 18th Start Date
The Township’s Road Paving Project will get underway the week of September 18th and includes 11 Township roads. The awarded contractor, Harris Blacktopping, Inc., has provided the following schedule. Updates will be provided closer to the start date.

These meeting take place in the Meeting Hall Building of the Towamencin Municipal Complex, located at 1090 Troxel Road, Lansdale.

The Zoning Hearing Board will not meet in September.

We are seeking a full-time Administration and Communication Coordinator to provide support to the Director of Administration. The ideal candidate must possess a strong mix of interpersonal, organizational and writing skills. The candidate will be detail-oriented and have experience creating effective visual presentations, including social media and website content. This role will regularly interface and work together with Township staff, the public, elected officials, committee members and other municipal agencies. This role will expand the Township’s communication footprint by regularly engaging the Community by sharing information in a clear and concise manner (news, events, projects, objectives) through various forms.
A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred with emphasis in communication or marketing, supplemented by five or more years of progressively responsible administrative and communication experience, municipal experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
