Garden of Health Food Bank Food Drive - Towamencin Drop-Off Location
To support the Garden of Health Food Bank's food drive, our Administration Building lobby will serve as an additional drop-off location. The drive runs through October 27th. See food requests within flyer. Help out this great cause with a donation!
From the Garden of Health Food Bank's website: We distribute fresh produce and food free of the top eight allergens to food pantries, low-income senior housing and community groups in Montgomery and Bucks Counties in Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, these foods are not donated to food pantries on a regular basis but there is a need for them!

EAC Sponsored Composting Workshop - October 12
Are you unsure what to do with your kitchen, garden, and yard scraps? Would you like natural, home-made compost for your lawns and gardens in the spring? Towamencin's Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) is sponsoring a Backyard Composting Workshop led by the Pennsylvania Resource Council. Join us to discover the importance and benefits of composting, the process, proper maintenance, and ways to use finished compost.
The EAC is again offsetting the cost for Towamencin residents, so this workshop is only $35 per person and includes a FreeGarden EARTH compost bin (bin alone retails for over $100!). This compost bin is ideal for suburban areas, has an 82-gallon capacity, and fits easily in the backseat of a regular sedan for transport home. Spots are limited so register today! Towamencin residents only.

Start celebrating the Halloween season early and bring the family out to enjoy a fun, free evening in the park! Dress up your pet in their favorite costume and join us for our pet parade. Prizes awarded to the best dressed pet! Then, join us for the Addams Family 2 under the stars! We will have Travelin Hot Dogs selling their food so come hungry. FREE popcorn will be available! Candy and snacks will be available for purchase. Bring your blankets and chairs! The event is free to all.
