Meetings are open to the public and residents are encouraged to attend. Meetings take place at the Meeting Hall Building of the Municipal Complex unless otherwise indicated. Meeting Hall address: 1090 Troxel Road, Lansdale. Additional parking is available at the adjacent Family Worship Center parking lot. If using the church's lot, we ask that our guests park on the side closest to the Township property.
Employment Opportunity - Police Specialist
Towamencin Township is seeking a full-time Police Specialist to provide specialized work directly supporting police line operations. Functions include, but are not limited to: evidence management, forensic crime scene processing, documenting incident scenes, forensic analysis of cell phones and data relating to investigations, warrant management, and other law enforcement support duties, inputs and retains case dispositions from district, county, and juvenile courts. Also, performs administrative and clerical functions as directed and assigned. Work is performed under minimal supervision with moderate latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment. Position relies on experience to determine the best approach by using and interpreting department policies and procedures.
A high school diploma is required supplemented by four or more years of progressively responsible experience supporting police line operations; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. A valid Pennsylvania state driver’s license is required.
Position includes excellent benefits with a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications; work schedule 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, at times, work hours will occur outside typical schedule.
